Before you add items to the online inventory, have a plan about which categories you’re going to use and where items will be stored for easy access.
You can add ‘bays’ onto the inventory to record the precise location (remember to label your shelves as you go!).
It’s important to put these processes in place now so that you don’t lose track of items.
As you add items onto your inventory, Lend Engine will automatically generate a unique code for the item.
We recommend using printed high tack stickers to keep track of the corresponding code for each item.
Some items have many different parts or pieces. It is important to list these items on the inventory within the listing as a record so you can check that everything has been returned after each borrow.
You may also find it useful to use boxes or bags to store items with multiple parts, so they are all kept together.
