As part of the Benthyg Cymru network, you’re helping lead a movement that’s reshaping how communities across Wales share, borrow, and reduce waste.
Together, we’re proving that borrowing instead of buying can save money, save space, and protect the planet — all while strengthening our communities.
Being part of this network means you’re never doing it alone. By sharing what we learn, supporting each other, and building better systems together, we can reach our goals faster — and have more fun along the way!

Staying Connected and Supported
There are lots of ways to stay in touch and make the most of your Benthyg Cymru membership:
Quarterly Network Meetings
Our quarterly meetings bring the whole network together to:
Hear updates from the Benthyg Cymru team on projects and developments across Wales, learn from other members’ experiences, and share challenges, ideas, and solutions around all things Library of Things.
Quarterly Member Newsletters and Funding Fortnightly Updates
Between meetings, our newsletters keep you up to date with key network news, funding opportunities, and stories from other branches.
Quarterly Check Ins and Ongoing Support
Your Development Officer will meet with you quarterly to offer tailored advice, guidance and general insights from the network data from our reporting database, including top 10 most popular item categories, and topline community carbon and cost savings.
(If you are interested in upgrading your membership to receive quarterly personalised impact reports please get in touch with fran@benthyg-cymru.org)
We’re also here for you at any time — whether you need quick advice, help solving a problem, or just want to chat through an idea. Our goal is to help your Benthyg branch grow sustainably and become a vital part of your local community.

Visit Other Network Members
One of the best parts of being part of the Benthyg Cymru network is the chance to visit and learn from one another. There are 35 locations across Wales — including 4 click-and-collect to check out. Whether you’re curious about how another team organises their space, manages their volunteers, or connects with their community, seeing it in person can help spark fresh ideas for your own Library of Things.
You can explore the network and plan your next visit by checking out our Interactive map here: https://www.benthyg-cymru.org/find-your-nearest-library
