Communications and Content Assistant

We’re looking for a creative, bilingual communicator to support Benthyg Cymru’s voice across social media, newsletters, and our website and to help Libraries of Things across the network shine through their own local comms.

Role: Communications and Content Assistant

 

Benthyg Cymru is growing our team! We’re looking for someone creative, organised and fluent in Welsh and English to help us share the joy and impact of borrowing across Wales.


Hours: 17.5 hours per week (0.5FTE)

Salary: £28,500 FTE (pro rata:£14,250

Reportsto: Impact and Fundraising Lead

 

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves crafting bilingual content,building communities online, and believes that sharing is a powerful act of climate action and kindness. You’ll help us deliver engaging comms acrosssocial media, newsletters and the web – championing the stories, people and impact behind Wales’ growing Library of Things network.

 

✅Create engaging Welsh/English content for social media and newsletters
✅Support storytelling from across our network of Libraries of Things
✅Keep inboxes and DMs friendly, helpful and well-managed
✅ Use design tools (like Canva) to produce eye-catching content
✅Follow our content calendar and help bring campaigns to life
✅Make sure all content is inclusive, accessible, and aligned with our values
✅Update our website (no coding needed!)
✅Be a digital cheerleader for borrowing across Wales

 

You’ll need:

- Excellent written Welsh and English

- Experience creating content (inc. reels, posts, graphics)

- A values-led approach to communication

- Good organisation and attention to detail
