Advisory Board

Benthyg Cymru, Wales’ library of things network, is recruiting to its Advisory Board as we work towards making borrowing in Wales as easy as popping out for a loaf of bread. Since the beginning of 2020 we’ve seen incredible growth. We now need to identify opportunities and challenges for the next 12 months and beyond while building a resilient and sustainable business model as outlined in our strategy document.

Benthyg Cymru recognises the positive value of diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination. We welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds particularly keen to increase representation on the board of people from urban, rural and Welsh-speaking and working class communities around Wales. We particularly welcome applications from disabled and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates as BAME and disabled people are currently under-represented throughout Benthyg Cymru.

We also welcome applicants who have no previous board experience but feel they have something valuable to offer, such as activism, volunteering or community-building work. Support will be given to develop relevant skills and confidence.

We are particularly interested in those with experience and knowledge of HR and Governance.
